Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen berries strawberries, blueberries, or mixed
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter creamy preferred
  • 1 ripe banana overripe for sweetness
  • ½ cup yogurt plain or Greek, dairy or plant-based
  • ¼ cup milk any kind, to adjust thickness
  • to taste honey or maple syrup optional, for extra sweetness

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Spoon or spatula

Method

  1. Measure out the frozen berries and add them directly into your blender.
  2. Add the creamy peanut butter and ripe banana to the blender, breaking the banana into smaller chunks for easier blending.
  3. Pour in the yogurt and splash in the milk, which helps create a thick yet scoopable texture.
  4. Secure the lid on the blender and blend on high for about 30-40 seconds, until the mixture is smooth, thick, and vibrant in color.
  5. Pause to check the texture—if it’s too thick to blend easily, add a splash more milk and blend briefly again.
  6. Taste the mixture and, if desired, add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup for extra sweetness. Blend again to combine.
  7. Pour the thick, creamy smoothie into bowls, using a spatula to scrape every bit from the blender.
  8. Top with sliced fresh fruit, granola, or a dollop of jam for added texture and visual appeal.
  9. Serve immediately with a spoon, enjoying the cool, satisfying texture and nostalgic flavor.
